The NABCI monitoring subcommittee (http://www.nabci-us.org/monitoring.html) is now looking for input on priority databases and data centers (i.e., locations managing multiple databases) used by people in Partners in Flight.

The major goal of this effort is to: 1) identify the data management priorities, and the amount of funding needed to make them happen, for all initiatives (PIF, shorebirds, waterbirds, waterfowl), and 2) put together a large joint proposal to fund those priorities.

So far, the only priority databases and data centers we have listed for the Southeast are: 1) the Breeding Bird Survey, 2) the USGS Bird Point Count Database, 3) The Institute for Bird Populations (MAPS and MOSI), and 4) the Center for Conservation Biology. If you have any others you would like to add to the list just let us know the database name and a person responsible for it. You can contact us through the contact us link on the left of the page.
