Conservation Buffers: Design Guidelines for Buffers, Corridors, and Greenways is a publication of the USDA National Agroforestry Center that provides a synthesis of research on vegetative buffers. The publication features guidelines related to areas such as water quality, biodiversity, and economic opportunities, as well as sections on design concepts and planning. As a whole, the information is designed to be an easily- understood tool to help guide the planning and designing of conservation buffers in rural and urban areas. 

The Conservation Buffers website is a comprehensive resource to accessing and using the Conservation Buffers publication. It offers the publication in readily accessible HTML pages and in downloadable PDF format. The website also has additional tools and case studies related to planning and designing vegetative buffers.
